Good news for all of you dog enthusiasts - the American Kennel Club (AKC) announced that two new dog breeds have joined its pack.

The organization officially recognized the Coton de Tulear and Wirehaired Vizsla, bumping the total number of dog breeds in its family up to 180.

"The AKC is excited to recognize these friendly, outgoing breeds, giving dog lovers everywhere even more choices to fit their lifestyle," said AKC Spokesperson Gina DiNardo in a statement.
