When the Bolings’ 5-year-old border collie, Lily, ran to greet him, the officer pulled out his gun and shot the dog.

Partnering with Michael’s Angel Paws, which provides training for service dogs, the city plans one-hour Agility 1 classes at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays Sept. 13 through Oct. 18 at the Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St., and 7:15 p.m.
