Yesterday the first five of the top 10 dog breeds of 2014 as the AKC, American Kennel Club, recently announced were listed on Examiner. Today is the second half of that list, number six through 10. The American people have chosen these dogs more often than any other dog breeds out there.
As promised here is a highlight of some of my favorite breeds with regard to home security work. First, a quick recap of terms:
Watchdog – A watchdog is an observant security alarm; a dog that makes a commotion whenever someone unwelcome is lurking about the house or yard. They do not have to be anything except loud, alert and tenacious and can come in any size and shape.

LOS ANGELES – When former Marine Joe Bonfiglio starts thrashing in his sleep, his pit bull service dog jumps on the bed, climbs on top of him and wakes him up to end the flashback.
On Tuesday, the American Kennel Club announced that, for the 24th straight year -- for every year since "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" premiered on television -- the Labrador retriever was the most popular breed among its members. An impressive streak, sure -- but what's happened in the rest of the top ten for the past two decades is much more interesting.
Attention canine lovers, the most popular dog breeds are here.
The American Kennel Club released their list of top 10 most popular dog breeds of 2014, with labrador retrievers jumping to the top spot. Labs took over the most popular dog spot from poodles from 2013.
But labs aren't the only breed of pooch's who've wagged their way into America's hearts.
