An orientation is 1 p.m. Saturday for new training classes at Suite Dog Daze, 10327 River Road NE. The day care and training facility will start 6-week puppy, obedience and Canine Good Citizen classes which meet Saturday afternoons.

At the orientation, you'll get a class schedule, handouts, goals for each session and homework. After a brief evaluation, dogs will be Sorted into the appropriate class. (Please note that owner and instructor Lisa Gipe relies on her professional skill rather than the Sorting Hat...er, Collar, to make the decisions.)

No classes Nov. 29. On Dec. 6, classes resume on this schedule: noon, puppy class; 12:35 p.m. basic obedience; 1:10 p.m. intermediate obedience; 1:45 p.m. Canine Good Citizen 1; and 2:20 p.m., Canine Good Citizen 2.
