Kennel club hosts dog training center open house: Scott County Kennel Club will host an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the club’s dogtraining facility at 2002 W. River Drive, Davenport.
There will be demonstrations in agility, obedience, rally and conformation. Guests are encouraged to bring their own dogs and have some fun on the agility equipment. All dogs must be leashed. Treats and refreshments for dogs and their people will be provided.
Scott County Kennel Club offers classes in puppy kindergarten, obedience, rally, agility, conformation handling and herding. The club currently hosts three weekends of agility trials each year, plus a two day herding trial, a health clinic and the annual spring conformation, obedience and rally shows. The 2015 spring shows will be May 9-10 at the QCCA Expo Center, Rock Island.
